Introducing
Shiatsu Massage

Using Shiatsu massage, finger pressure is applied to acupuncture meridian points by a practitioner. The pressure stimulates and balances the energy flowing through the body.

A total body treatment employing the application of appropriate pressure to the meridians of the body according to the Oriental medical model. Pressure is applied mainly with the thumbs, but also with palms, elbows, and knees, to stimulate the flow of Qi (Chi or Ki), or energy, thereby promoting the self healing abilities of the body.

A goal of Shiatsu is to facilitate a calming response and to maintain or restore physical function and/or relieve pain.
